SiSoft Sandra 2012 Benchmarks

In our comparison tests, we pit the board against the Biostar TZ77XE4 board. Both boarsd were running the Core i5-3570K processor. The SABERTOOTH Z77 board was running at XMP profile #1 with BIOS 0906. The 2 x 2GB of DDR3 was running at CAS 11-13-11-30-2T at DDR3-2400. while th BIOSTAR TZ77XE4 was running DDR3-2133 CAS 10-12-27-1T (we can’t run it at DDR3-2400). As the memory timings are different, it would impact the benchmark results.

From the scoreline, it can be seen that running at a lower CAS latency with 2T gives the ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 an advantage in the memory benchmark test, scoring 27.14GBps in contrast to 25.13GBps.

It not only affects the memory benchmark score, the multimedia results is also better at 204.57 Mpixel/s.

When it comes to Arithmetic test the difference is narrower at 82 GOPS vs 77.12 GOPS.

With a better bandwidth, multimedia transcoding works better scoring 7100 KB/s.
