Motherboard Layout
The components of the ECS Z97-PK Deluxe is neatly aligned. From the top, we can easily see the various components on board. The front panel is still the same jumpered type which isn’t that friendly in 2015. It should be on/off buttons for easy access.
The backplane of the motherboard shows the positioning of the PS/2 Mouse/Keyboard Combo port, 4 USB 2.0, 2 USB 3.0 (Blue), D-SUB, DVI-D, HDMI, audio ports.
At the left bottom corner of the board is the 6 SATA 6Gbps (SATA III) ports which support RAID 0,1,5,10.
On the left top corner of the board, we can see the 2 PCIe 3.0 slots which can be paired up with external graphics cards or peripherals.
The Dual Channel DDR3 supports XMP profiles. So, if you have a XMP profile DDR3 module (check compatibility list), it will auto configure the ram timings or you can manually select profile #1 or profile #2 from the BIOS.
