We have tested 5G Roaming in Malaysia’s Celcom and it works seamlessly, just that the speed seems to be capped at around 200 Mbps for the downlink.

There is irony in the fact that only some SIM cards are provisioned with 5G NSA access, while the majority are not. Interestingly, the non-provisioned 5G NSA local access SIMs can still access the overseas 5G Roaming partner network. SIMBA needs to address this situation and establish clear criteria for determining which plans, phones, and subscribers receive 5G NSA provisioning and which do not.
