Resident Evil 5
Resident Evil 5 benchmark shows quite a similar trend just like the previous benchmark. The MSI X79A-GD45 scores 102 fps just 0.3 behind the Gigabyte X79-UD7. It can be clearly seen that the differences are very minor when the platform is GPU bound at high resolution tests.
Likewise, overclocking it to 4.7GHz, the score dip to 100.4 fps.
Great to the point review,I for one am moving away from the more costly boards and totally happy and your review shows how simplicity can be a great payoff.
