Futuremark 3DMark Vantage and 3DMark 11
In 3Dmark vantage, the test is done in high quality. As we can see from the scoreline, the differences in graphical performance is largely GPU bound. Although the performance of Core i7-3960X is almost 2 times faster in multimedia tests, the difference here is around 6%. Both boards score very close each other at a score of 9960-9962 marks.
When overclocked to 4.7GHz, the score shot up to H10022 marks.
In 3Dmark 11 (X) test, the score is very close to the previous generation platforms. On both the MSI and Gigabyte X79 board, the scores are so close to differentiate the two. We are seeing the same trend. When Overclocked to 4.7GHz, the score reaches X1157.
