Memory size 16GB (2 DIMMs in dual-channel)
Memory type Kingston DDR3L at 1600 MT/s
Memory timings 9-9-9-27-1T
System drive Crucial M4 128GB with 070H firmware
Test drives ST1000LX001 1TB with SD02 firmware
WD5000BPVT 500GB with 03.01A03 firmware
Laptop Model Lenovo E430
Operating system Windows 8.1 Pro x64 on system drive
Windows 10 Home (Build 1586.218) for test drives

The following test applications were used:

  1. Crystal DiskMark 5.12
  2. AS SSD Copy Benchmark 1.8.5636
  3. ATTO Disk Benchmark v3.05
  4. Avidemux 2.6.8 x64

All tests above (with exception of & AS SSD & ATTO) were run at least 3 times with a system reboot in between each run. The average of the 3 runs are used in the charts.

A secure erase was done on the 2 test drives before Windows 10 was installed.

Seagate SSHD utilizes complex firmware algorithms to optimize system storage performance. Hence, 3 runs or more may be required to achieve optimum performance.
