Synthetic Benchmarks
We will start off with some synthetic benchmarks.
Crystal DiskMark 5.12
AS SSD Copy Benchmark
ATTO Disk Benchmark
These results are fairly typical for mechanical hard drives. It’s quite likely that the NAND cache is not really utilised here. I ran the 5 iterations of CrystalMark to compare to my earlier run above and there was little difference in the results.
Seagate did mentioned that the SSHD is optimised for real world usage. So with that, we will proceed to the real world benchmarks.
